Your Weight Loss Journey

   - How To Make It A Success

Losing weight is a daunting task, that’s why many people often prefer to back away from it altogether. But does this make you slim down and drop your unwanted pounds? No, it does not. You actually need to take action to lose weight. Action is the main key to success. If you do not take action then nothing will happen and you will stay fat and unhappy for the rest of your life. Is this what you want? That’s what I thought. Let me give you 5 tips that you should endeavour to follow to make your weight loss journey a positive and rewarding experience! Here they are:

1. Choose ONE Pathway
There is so much weight loss information these days that it is easy to get confused, frustrated and to feel like giving up. How can you avoid feeling like this? Chose a good weight loss program and stick with that one. Don’t go all over the place and jump from one diet to the next - This will only leave you feeling discouraged. Try
The Fat Loss Factor if you are sick of looking around. (Many people have had great results on this program.) But STAY WITH IT. This is so important, I cannot say it enough.

2. Read Success Stories

Success stories are awesome! It is so encouraging to read about how others have lost weight, and also the challenges that they went through during their weight loss journey.

3. Read Quotes
Write down your favorite quotes and sayings to help you keep motivated. Quotes can be very empowering and inspiring and are great to write down and keep on hand to read when you are feeling weak. Check-out some inspirational quotes HERE.

4. Cut Back On Sugar

Most sugars turn straight into fat upon consumption, especially refined sugars. Therefore, in order to lose weight at a much faster rate, you should really try to reduce your sugar intake as much as possible. This will really skyrocket your weight loss to a whole new level. Check out Living Sugar Free for some interesting information about this.

5. Get Walking More
If you are not inclined to exercise then you should endeavour to walk more. Park your car further away from work and the shops. Walk to get the mail. Get up and walk to the TV to change channels instead of using your remote. Take your dog for a walk. Phone up your friend and ask if they will join you for a walk. There are so many ways that you can incorporate walking into your day. Don’t make excuses!

Common Weight Loss Mistakes

     - 4 Blunders To Avoid Like The Plague!

The following points listed below are the biggest weight loss blunders of all time and will severely hinder any weight loss efforts on your part. Take my advice and avoid these blunders like the plague!

1. Counting Your Calories Like Crazy!
Ok, so it’s good to know approximately how much energy the food you’re eating has in it, and whether it’s high in calories or low in calories. This energy awareness is actually healthy and will enable you to make wise decisions with your food. But when you start counting your calories like crazy and keep jotting down your latest “calorie addition” to your day’s total - this is when you are likely impeding your weight loss. Counting calories each and every day will cause you to become “Calorie-counting Paranoid,” as if your life depended on it (even though in actual fact – it really doesn’t). So my recommendation is not to stress too much about counting your calories, rather, simply be calorie “aware” and know whether the lasagne that you are eating is “high,” “moderate,” or “low” in energy content. This will more than suffice! Take my advice and give calorie-counting a miss!

2. Eating Too Much Sugar
It has been scientifically proven that refined sugars turn straight  into fat.

That’s right, you read correctly.  So even thought that chocolate  ice-block

that you were eating promised to be low  in calories,  this  wouldn’t  even

matter since it would immediately go straight to your thighs  anyway!  I’m

not saying that you shouldn’t eat  sugar  altogether,  just  make  sure  that

you eat it in moderation and only in small quantities. If you need some

motivation to cut back on sugar, visit Living Sugar Free for some helpful points and up-front facts.

3. Working Out Like Crazy and Overeating Afterwards
It’s true that working up a sweat creates an appetite, but often what happens is when people go home after a killer workout, they pig-out like crazy. What a shame this is - since these people put so much blood, sweat and tears into their workout! Then they ruin all of their efforts by overeating afterwards. Remember that it is OK to experience hunger sometimes (this is actually good for you!), and a growling stomach will not kill you. Eat a decent sized meal after your workout, but leave it at that. Wash your teeth straight after your meal to ensure that you won’t keep snacking.

4. The Binge-Eating / Starve-Yourself Cycle
This is a problem that many adults sadly go through in their life. They ruin all of their weight loss efforts by eating great for a week and then binge eating afterwards. You need to get out of this self-destructive habit since it will prevent you from ever reaching your ideal weight, and over the long-term you will cause severe damage to your body. Stop telling yourself that you can’t help doing this because you have a “mental problem;” rather, take responsibility for your eating habits and endeavour to eat in moderation every day. Stop trying to eat 1,000 calories per day when you know that it is not enough for you. Rather, seek to make wise food choices at all times, don’t eat massive portions, and treat yourself a few times each week WITHOUT FEELING GUILTY. You need to take responsibility TODAY for your food choices – stop making excuses. Your Health Is Your Wealth.
